Guidance that sounds like it came from the vendor, and did not

Severitymedium

SymptomA widely shared post opens by crediting material to the vendor (SpaceXAI just released, the team just dropped) and then links to the posting author's own article or an unattributed video. Readers, and any agent crawling the corpus, record the advice at vendor authority.

CauseVendor attribution buys reach and credibility, and on a social platform nothing checks it. The correction, if it comes, is a reply nobody reads.

DetectionAsk one question of any vendor-attributed claim: where is the vendor URL? If the post links only to the author's own article, an unidentified video, or nothing at all, the attribution is unsupported. A reply asking which channel published it, going unanswered, is a strong signal.

FixRecord the content at the tier of the account that actually published it, never at the tier of the organisation it names. Put the attribution claim in its own record at status unverified or disputed. Do not promote a claim because it has been repeated: several posts quoting one unattributed source are one source. If it were real, x.ai/news or docs.x.ai would carry it, and this database crawls both daily.
